Visiting “transient” orcas in Puget Sound

Posted in Onyx

Hi everybody, Onyx here! I’m still enjoying living here in the great Salish Sea with my pod family, L pod along with K and J pod families too. We’re all called “resident” orcas, we only live between the waters of Puget Sound and south of British Columbia. Lately we’ve had other orca friends, known as “transients”, come to play and hunt for food in the Salish waters. They come visit at different times because they live all the way up in Alaska and all the way down to Southern California throughout the year. Check out a video of a group of transient orcas on my Facebook page at K.S. Robinson.
